Volunteers will help loading, delivering and unloading the food. In doing so, they help saving food from going to waste and provide very direct help for people in need.

Voluntary support with food deliveries
Schweizer Tafel provides direct and practical help to people in need in Switzerland by collecting around 30 tons of surplus, perfectly good food from retailers every day and distributing it free of charge to soup kitchens, homeless shelters, women's refuges and other aid organizations.
- The volunteers go on tour with an experienced helper
- The food is collected from retailers in a refrigerated vehicle
- These are distributed to social institutions and distribution points in the region according to the tour plan
