On National Future Day, schoolchildren throughout Switzerland are given the opportunity to accompany their parents to work or to get to know the world of work through various special projects. Children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds are excluded from Future Day. Life Science Cares is now closing this gap and has established a project platform that enables these children to spend Future Day at one of our partner companies in the life science industry.
National Future Day
Bridge to the Future
Accompanying parents to work and thus gaining an insight into the world of work is a great opportunity. What about children whose parents don’t have a job?
On National Future Day, students from 5th to 7th grade get a day off to immerse themselves in the professional world. In most cases, children accompany their parents or close acquaintances to work, giving them the chance to experience different careers firsthand.
Our program is aimed at 5th to 7th-grade pupils from economically disadvantaged families. Participants are selected by our NGO partners and local schools.
The children are selected according to our criteria from existing programs of our NGO partners or in consultation between Life Science Cares Switzerland and local schools. As a corporate partner, you will receive a list with children who would like to take part in the Future Day.
You will design the program for the group of children who will spend the Future Day at your company. During Future Day, you will supervise the children. The invitation and the logistical coordination of the event will be your responsibility, but LSCS will support you.
We coordinate the recruitment and placement of participating children in the slots provided by the Corporate Partners. The list of participating children will be made available to the Corporate Partners one month before the Future Day.
Life Science Cares Switzerland collaborates with various charitable non-profit partners that are selected based on set criteria.
